For corporate pros with 10+ years

Someone you've never met is deciding whether your job exists next year.

You've spent 10, 15, 20 years getting very good at something. Right now your employer is the only one selling it. Uncorporate is 90 days of one-on-one coaching that turns what you know into a business you own, built around the job you still have.

Sound familiar

Sunday night already feels like Monday morning.

You open the laptop on Sunday to get ahead. Your kid asks if you're coming to the game and you say probably. You bring the stress home, and your spouse feels it before you say a word.

At work you're the one everyone calls when something breaks. You still need three approvals to fix it. You brought the right idea to the table last quarter and got told no, because it didn't fit an agenda nobody shared with you.

You get paid what a salary band says your role is worth.

Not what you're worth.

The part nobody says out loud

Layoffs used to be the last resort. Now they're the growth plan.

Another headline. Another round. Another team of good people walked out by executives who will never learn their names. The decision gets made in a room you're not in, and you find out in a 15-minute calendar invite.

The longer you stay, the more this job feels like the only thing you're qualified to do. You watch people you used to work with go out on their own. Part of you is jealous. Part of you is sure you could never pull it off.

That second part is wrong. Your company spent a decade paying you to learn things other companies will pay for. You've just never had to name them.

The thinking phase

Most people never get past thinking about it.

You've run it in your head a hundred times. How long until you replace your salary. Whether anyone would buy what you'd sell. What you'd even call it. Who builds the website, finds the clients, sends the invoices.

Every one of those questions turns into a reason to wait one more quarter. Then one more year. Then your kid is in high school.

My wife is one of the best bakers I know. When she opened her bakery, the baking was the easy part. Pricing, orders, invoices, taxes. That's what wore her down. Being great at the work and knowing how to run the business are two separate skills. The second one can be taught.

How it works

90 days. One-on-one. Built around the job you still have.

Days 1 to 30: Build

We get your expertise out of your head and onto paper, find the part people will pay for, name who buys it, put a price on it, and set up the systems to sell it.

Days 31 to 90: Accountability

You go talk to buyers. We fix what the market tells you. Weekly calls through day 60, then every two weeks to the finish.

Pre-work and homework before every session. No exceptions.

You walk away with:

  • Your expertise on paper, and which part of it sells
  • Positioning a buyer recognizes in one read
  • An offer with a real price on it
  • A named buyer list and an outreach system that keeps running

Why me

I got fired. Lucky for me, I'd already started.

13 years in corporate jobs at companies like Apple and VMware. Then one day I was out. I had a side project, a logo, and no clear idea what I was selling.

The hardest part was figuring out what made me worth hiring. I didn't know which of my skills anyone would pay for. Once I started building, the answer showed up faster than years of thinking had ever produced it. I went from idea to first client conversation in 8 weeks.

Everyone with a corporate job should be building something they own. If not to leave, then for the day someone else decides you're leaving.

I can put you in position to build a business. I can't guarantee it will be profitable. Nobody honest can.

Who this is for

Everyone else should keep their money.

For you if

  • ✓10+ years in corporate, and you're good at what you do
  • ✓You can name 5 to 10 organizations that would pay for what you know
  • ✓You've thought about leaving for years and still don't have a plan
  • ✓You need the paycheck to keep coming while you build

Not for you if

  • ✕You're looking for a job
  • ✕You want to build an app, a marketplace, or something you sell to consumers
  • ✕You want someone to build it for you

I'll ask you to name those organizations on the call. Have a few in mind.

Every quarter you wait, someone else gets to decide for you.

Thirty minutes. We'll talk through what you know, who would pay for it, and whether now is the right time. If it isn't, I'll tell you on the call.

This is paid one-on-one coaching. I'll walk you through the investment on the call.
